Contact Keeper Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Contact Keeper app. The Life Orchestrator platform has its own policy, linked at the end of this page.

Introduction

Contact Keeper (“the App”) is developed by Life Orchestrator. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Contact Keeper is built around a simple promise: the people in the App are the people you typed in yourself. Nothing more.

Your Address Book Is Never Accessed

This is the most important thing to understand about Contact Keeper:

  • Every person in the App is entered manually by you
  • The App never reads, imports, or syncs your device address book
  • The App never requests the contacts permission from iOS or Android
  • The App has no technical ability to see who is in your phone’s contacts

If the App ever asked for access to your contacts, that would be a bug, not a feature. It does not and will not.

Data Collection

Local-first architecture

Contact Keeper is designed with a local-first approach. By default, all of your data is stored exclusively on your device. That includes:

  • People you add: names, relationship tags, and contact cadence
  • Touchpoints: when and how you were in touch, with optional notes
  • Important dates: birthdays, anniversaries, and custom dates
  • Gift ideas you write down
  • App preferences

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to connect to Life Orchestrator.

Data we do not collect

  • We do not access your device address book or call history
  • We do not collect personal identification information
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not access your photos, messages, or other apps
  • We do not collect analytics or usage data without consent

Data Sharing

Life Orchestrator integration (optional)

If you choose to connect Contact Keeper to Life Orchestrator:

  • The people and touchpoints you entered manually are synced to Life Orchestrator’s secure servers
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • You can use gift ideas, household events, and reminders across the full suite
  • Shared data is then governed by Life Orchestrator’s privacy policy
  • You keep full control and can disconnect at any time

Third parties

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data is never shared unless one of the following applies:

  • You explicitly enable Life Orchestrator sync
  • You choose to export and share your own data
  • Disclosure is required by law
  • Disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or safety

Data Deletion

How to delete your data

You can delete your data at any time:

  1. Archive individual people: open a person and tap Archive Person
  2. Remove gift ideas and dates: open a person and remove entries individually
  3. Delete all local data: uninstall the App to remove everything stored on your device
  4. Delete synced data: if connected to Life Orchestrator, go to Settings, then Life Orchestrator, then Disconnect and Delete Data

When you delete data locally, it is permanently removed from your device. If the data has been synced to Life Orchestrator, you must also delete it from your Life Orchestrator account.

Uninstalling the App

Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data. Synced data held in Life Orchestrator must be deleted separately.

Data Security

  • All data is stored using secure device storage with encryption
  • Synced data uses TLS 1.3 encryption in transit
  • Life Orchestrator uses AES-256 encryption at rest
  • We implement industry-standard security practices

Children’s Privacy

Contact Keeper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 18, please use this app only with parental guidance.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the date at the top of this page.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of data processing
  • Request data portability
